1 Million Women To Tech is a 501(c)3 non-profit community organization in the Silicon Valley dedicated to empowering women, companies and societies and fueling the rise of the digital economy, by providing technical education to women.

We are partnering with Oxford Entrepreneurs (OE), Europe’s largest student startup society drawing members from all parts of Oxford University including undergraduates, postgraduates, and business school students. Since 2002, OE organizes Oxford Hack, the UK’s largest student hackathon and has engaged thousands of students.

1 Million Women To Tech brings expertise in learn to code workshops, remote education and women’s outreach while Oxford Entrepreneurs brings expertise in organizing hackathons and provides venue and marketing support.

Every year we're launching two big learning projects

Summer of Code

The Summer of Code consists of 12 weeks, with challenges for all level of skill from beginner to professional. We have curated a good mixture of Python and JavaScript for you, and courses do build on each other so you can start – for example – with an introduction to Python or JavaScript and then gain practical experience and build a small portfolio by the end of summer that you can showcase to employers or future clients.

Winter of Data

The Winter Of Data #WinterOfData (WOD) introduces the key areas of statistics, data science, and data analytics. Often looked upon as a black art, or a black box, the contents of which should be left to someone else, this subject is crucial to the rising technologist to grasp, and I would argue, even the common person living in the 21st century.
